Main Street Veterinary Clinic, based in Bairnsdale, services a large region of Victoria's East Gippsland from Stratford in the west to Nowa Nowa in the east and from the high country regions of Omeo, Cobungra, Benambra and Buchan to the Gippsland Lakes and coast.

The clinic was established in 1979 with a single vet, and has since grown to a practice with 18 employees including 8 vets.  The purpose built clinic is located in the main street of Bairnsdale.

We aim to be your "one stop shop" for all your animal health needs. We provide all of the veterinary services you would expect in a large, well equipped and professional practice, including general medicine, advanced soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, anaesthesia, radiology, ultrasonography, endoscopy, dentistry, microscopy, pharmacy and advanced on-site laboratory services.

We also provide herd health, production and performance advice and services for the equine and farm livestock industries.

We have a well stocked shop front supplying premium pet and animal health products including grooming aids, shampoos, flea and tick control products, heartworm and worming medications, collars, leads, training aids and premium pet foods.

If we feel your animal requires advanced expertise that we cannot provide, we seek the best specialist in their field to refer you and your pet to. We are in frequent contact with many specialist practices, are able to offer continuity of care when these patients return home, and we continue to upgrade our skills and knowledge from contact with these valued colleagues. Clinic staff are undergoing continual education and training.
